Two Americans Kidnapped by Cartel Members Near Southern Border

Two American citizens were reportedly kidnapped by Mexican cartel member in Mexico near the border of Texas earlier this month, according to Breitbart News.

The kidnapping took place on Nov. 3, yet is just now spreading as news of Mexican military members searching for two kidnapped Americans has spread along the border. The reported incident occurred along the highway between Nuevo Laredo and Antiguo Guerrero.

The kidnappers are believed to be members of the group Cartel Del Noreste.

“The victims were identified as 41-year-old Ishnanda H. and 36-year-old Kairsten H. who were riding in a Toyota Camry driven by 35-year-old Marcos Solorzano. The two U.S. citizens reside in San Antonio, Texas, and were traveling to Veracruz for meetings,” according to the Breitbart report.

The incident highlights the serious concerns not only with border security, but for Americans traveling along either side of the southern border. While the nation remains concerned regarding the number of illegal immigrants crossing into America in recent months, it’s easy to forget the dangers on both sides of the Rio Grande River.

It’s no longer safe for Americans to travel into northern Mexico due to the drug cartel’s expanding power in the region. It’s also not safe to be near many parts of America’s southern border anymore. Not only do residents of south Texas fear the cartels, but they also live in fear due to the masses of illegal immigrants, including an unknown number of criminal immigrants. Simply put, our border is a mess and Americans are afraid of their own backyards.

What is our nation’s leader doing to help? He’s flying to Scotland to fall asleep during climate change talks. When Biden did speak, it was to apologize for America’s failure to lead in climate justice.

I wish this was a sick joke or a bad dream, but it’s not. Our commander-in-chief has checked out. He’s leaving the border with the same security it had during the days of the wild west. The results are starting to look the same as well.

It’s likely Biden or someone on his team was informed that two Americans were kidnapped in Mexico near the border. It’s clear nothing was said and it appears no action was made. It’s like the event didn’t even happen.

If that is how kidnapped Americans are treated in Mexico, what can we expect when illegal immigrants enter our own nation? The answer is clear by now. Biden is doing nothing to protect the border. Instead, he continues to find ways to allow more illegal immigrants to stay, and possibly find a pathway to citizenship.

What’s behind this dereliction of duty? Is he really that out of it that he can’t respond? There seems to be more to it. The open border agenda of the left is so destructive to America that many Democrats can’t even understand it, but the pressure of big money donors seems to be too much to resist.

It’s been said if you follow the money, you’ll find the reason behind the policies of those in power. Even with Americans being kidnapped near the border, it appears dollars signs take priority for those leading the leftist agenda in Washington.
