Secretary of State Antony Blinken traveled to China in a supposed attempt to strengthen diplomatic ties between the United States and China but what ACTUALLY came out of it was an effort by the Biden regime to greenlight a move which would only STRENGTHEN Communist China.
“We do not support Taiwan independence,” Blinken said in a press conference following a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“On Taiwan, I reiterated a longstanding US ‘One China’ policy. That policy has not changed. It’s guided by the Taiwan Relations Act, three joint communiques, the six assurances. We do not support Taiwan independence. We remain opposed to any unilateral changes to the status quo by either side. We continue to expect the peaceful resolution to cross-state differences.”
On the back of a major Blinken failure over in Beijing, the admission suggests that not only did the Biden regime NOT accomplish what it set out to do in China – the Chinese actually convinced Joe Biden and his people to publicly shill for the CCP!
This sudden change of heart is even more bizarre when considering the fact that less than a year ago Joe Biden himself publicly claimed that the U.S. would get “involved militarily” to defend Taiwan. He said we were contractually bound to defend Taiwan!
Critics reacted to the policy change by SLAMMING the Biden regime.
“Weakness invites aggression,” tweeted Republican Rep. Jim Banks, who serves on House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the U.S. and the Chinese Communist Party.
Ari Hoffman of the Post Millennial said Blinken’s statements raise questions about the president’s relationship with China.
“If you want to know how deep Biden is in with China, here is your answer,” he tweeted.
“Bought and paid for,” said former Trump administration official Stephen Miller.
But even beyond practically sanctioning a CCP invasion of Taiwan, Blinken came out of the meeting with Xi Jinping espousing Chinese talking points – including a claim that it would not be in the “best interest” of the United States to decouple from China.
China made such concessions towards the U.S. in their speech following the visit.
Blinken’s comments come amid increased tensions between China and the United States. Earlier this month, the U.S. military released video of a close encounter between a Chinese navy ship and an American destroyer in the Taiwan Strait, and there have been several intentionally close calls between Chinese and U.S. military aircraft recently, including an air intercept by a Chinese fighter jet over the South China Sea in late May.
