The Democrat Party has already trotted out one of its most ridiculous figures to file Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump. Maybe the third time will be the charm, right?
Congressman Al Green (D-TX), who is living proof that election fraud must exist in Houston, announced this week that he was bringing impeachment articles against Trump for “dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done.”
He even waved his cane in the air like a ridiculous old man as he said it!
Before we get into the nuts and bolts of Impeachment 3.0, here is the announcement from the floor of the House of Representatives:
Okay, first of all, dastardly deeds? Who talks like that?
“I rise today to impeach the lawfully elected President of the United States for nefarious, nattering nabobbery! He is a ragabrash scalawag and a calumnious flapdoodle! The American people will not stand for his malodorous mutton-shunting any longer!”
Sylvester the Cat would like his sufferin’ succotash back.
Exactly what dastardly deeds was the ridiculous Rep. Green talking about? Trump’s announcement that the US will take control of Gaza.
It’s not a completely outlandish proposal. The US has poured trillions of dollars into that region and no one has ever been able to solve the centuries-old conflict. We’ve paid enough, so now it’s ours. If Netanyahu doesn’t like it, well, that’s tough. There’s a new sheriff in town.
But can a president be impeached for making a proposal? In the minds of many Democrats, that seems to be a real thing.
Democrats always pretend to become constitutional authorities when it suits them. Green went on C-SPAN and explained that impeachment doesn’t require a crime that is “statutory.” While that’s true, the only precedent for attempting to impeach a president for a non-statutory, non-crime are the two previous failed impeachment efforts against Donald Trump. Green might want to sit this one out.
The Constitution gives Congress the impeachment power for “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
“Many people assume that that means a statutory offense,” Green explained. “It does not, and the word misdemeanor means misdeeds. Aside from some minor offense, misdeeds are those things that will shock your conscience, so a president can literally be impeached for shocking one’s conscience.”
It shocked the consciences of Americans when we learned that Joe Biden had raked in more than $40 million in bribes from foreign countries. It also shocked us every time that he held a press conference and there was a small child in the room. We didn’t notice Al Green rushing to impeach Joe Biden for those conscience-shocking acts.
We did notice this week, however, that the first impeachment attempt against Donald Trump back in 2019 was financed by our tax dollars. The big scandal that Elon Musk exposed this week revealed that the CIA and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) spent taxpayer money on a “news” outlet in Europe called the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).
When a fake CIA whistleblower claimed that President Trump had tried to withhold aid from Ukraine in exchange for an investigation of Joe Biden’s bribery crimes, he cited reporting by the OCCRP four times in his complaint. The OCCRP wrote a fake news story about two “Russian businessmen” from Florida who were behind Rudy Giuliani and Donald Trump’s secret plot to falsely smear the Bidens for taking bribes from Ukraine.
The CIA and USAID used OUR TAX DOLLARS to gin up the entire fake story that resulted in Donald Trump being falsely impeached for his perfect phone call with the Ukrainian dictator.
The good news, at least for now, is that the Republican-controlled House can simply ignore Al Green’s Articles of Impeachment. Those articles won’t be going anywhere for at least two years.
Given the massive reforms that President Trump is implementing, which include cutting off the funds that the Democrats have been illegally siphoning off from the taxpayers, it seems unlikely that Democrats will be retaking control of the House in the midterms two years from now.
You’d think they’d have learned their lesson by now. They impeached him twice. They raided his home. They arrested him. They tried to kill him twice. But here we go again with the Democrats trying to impeach Donald Trump for “dastardly deeds.”
