Top FBI Agent Tells House GOP Why Mar-a-Lago Raid Was Bogus

A senior FBI official who was instrumental in both the Gretchen Whitmer “kidnapping” hoax and the Mar-a-Lago raid has flipped. Steven D’Antuono has come forward to the House Judiciary Committee under whistleblower protections.

D’Antuono has testified that there were four major flaws in the Mar-a-Lago raid, which should have prevented it from ever happening in the first place.

And of course, without the Mar-a-Lago raid, there would have been no indictment of President Donald Trump this week.

This is fairly unprecedented. Has there ever been another Deep Stater who came forward and said, “You know what? This whole thing was BS, and we should have never done it to President Trump. We were wrong?”

I can’t think of a single time that’s happened. Can you? To this day, Hillary Clinton says that Putin stole the 2016 election from her. James Comey, when he’s not taking selfies in front of cornfields, gives speeches in which he says he’s still just not sure whether the Russian potty tape is real or not.

D’Antuono played a pivotal role in framing and entrapping some Trump supporters in 2020 during the whole fake kidnapping plot against Michigan’s crazy governor lady, Gretchen Whitmer. He got a promotion from the FBI over that whole deal, and got transferred to Washington, DC’s field office.

After January 6, 2021, D’Antuono was part of the team that began viciously hunting Trump supporters from coast to coast in order to wreck their lives over allegations of misdemeanor trespassing.

But on June 7, 2023, just a few days before President Trump’s indictment on bogus federal charges, D’Antuono sat down for a transcribed interview with the House Judiciary Committee. In a letter to Joe Biden’s banana republic Attorney General Merrick Garland, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) wrote:

“Mr. D’Antuono served as the former Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office (WFO) and one of the most senior FBI officials in charge of effectuating the unprecedented raid of President Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago. During his testimony, Mr. D’Antuono expressed strong concerns with the Department’s pursuit of the raid and noted several unusual features in the Department’s handling of the case.”

The things that D’Antuono objected to about the Mar-a-Lago raid were as follows.

First, why was the Miami FBI Field Office sidelined? The agents with guns who raided Mar-a-Lago were sent down from Washington, DC. D’Antuono was never given an explanation for this.

Second, why was there no US Attorney assigned to the case? A US Attorney is always assigned to investigative raids like this, and that should have especially been the case when raiding a former president’s house. D’Antuono raised this concern multiple times with his bosses, but they never explained the reasons to him.

Third, the FBI didn’t ask permission to come search Mar-a-Lago first. His bosses heavily pushed to execute a search warrant at gunpoint instead of simply calling Trump’s attorneys and asking permission to search the joint. He’s a former president, after all.

Fourth, the FBI wouldn’t even wait for President Trump’s attorney to show up during the search warrant’s execution. D’Antuono argued, even as the raid was happening, that the FBI should reach out to Trump’s attorney, but his bosses refused. The standard procedure would have been to have Trump’s attorney on-site.

D’Antuono clearly understood the political optics of what was happening. Instead of treating this like any other document retrieval case with any other politician, this was a witch hunt designed to make it look like President Trump is some huge criminal. FBI agents with guns were at Trump’s house? Must be serious!

And don’t fall for the “national security documents” lie on this, either. Do you realize what those documents were, which the media is now claiming threatened national security?

One was a letter that Barack Obama sent to Trump when he entered office. In the letter, Obama told Trump that he viewed the nuclear threat from North Korea as the biggest national security threat against America. The other document was a letter from Kim Jong-Un to President Trump. In that letter, Jong-Un told Trump that he didn’t want to elevate nuclear tensions and he was willing to come to the bargaining table. Don’t you feel threatened by Trump having those “national security documents?”

D’Antuono retired in November of 2022, just a few months after the raid. He voluntarily came and talked to the Judiciary Committee about this last week. The Mar-a-Lago raid was completely illegitimate. And without the Mar-a-Lago raid, there’s no case against President Trump.
